As a full-time college student in my senior year, a homeschooling parent of 5, and through my experience as a horseback riding instructor and coach, I have learned to quickly determine a specific student's unique strengths, weaknesses and learning style, and then use this information to help make learning fun again. I believe all children have a passion for learning, but 'out of the box' thinkers have a hard time finding that passion once they reach school age. My specialties are elementary reading, writing (including cursive) and math. I am familiar with several reading intervention programs, and can easily integrate these with your child's school curriculum in order to help them succeed. I use an incremental approach in order to allow students to build on previous skills which opens the door to a more complete understanding of those skills and concrete comprehension of new material. With my special bag of tricks and disciplined, yet laid back, teaching style, you'll be amazed at how much your child is capable of!
